Among the greatest casualties of working 80 hours a week is my writing. To be totally fair, it's not as if I was writing as much as I should have been before my job situation hit critical. So I've decided it's high time to remedy this situation. It will be difficult to fix with my current situation, but I'm enacting a plan that starts now, and will expand when I have a single good job again. Here's the plan as it stands now.
Starting Apocalypse Day 2011 (05/21/2011)
----------------------------------------------------
On days where I have a shift off, for at least half an hour:
On days where I have two shifts off, at least two hours:
-Edit my short story "The Staircase" till I am satisfied with it.
-Edit or completely rewrite the backdrops, legends, and lore for
"Sterbende Welt", and rewrite them into story form.
Starting once I have a good job again. (Hopefully Soon, but who knows?)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On days where I am off, at least two to four hours a day.
On days that I work, at least an hour a day three days a week.
-Finish any of the above that are not completed.
-Transition usable parts of "Chronicles of the Savage Lands" into
"Sterbende Welt" as the existing writing of that story influenced heavily
the creation of later.
-Write "Sterbende Welt: Entzwei Zeit" into novel form.
-Write "Sterbende Welt: Huter der Alten Toten" into novel form.
-Edit the above two novels into publishable form.
-Reedit the "Sterbende Welt: Huter der Alten Toten" game to
publishable form.
That's the plan so far. I will likely open up a private blog to put up my work as I progress. If you want access to this blog, let me know either by commenting below or sending me a message.
Of all the things in my life, writing is the one creative pursuit I feel I have actual talent in, and I've let that talent dull for to long now.
